Smile Placed my order - thanks for all the help!

Just a quick note to thank everyone for their help in configuring my car. Placed the order today; April build/May delivery:

C2
Speed Yellow/Black Standard Leather
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
Sport Steering Wheel
Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
Bose
Remote CD changer
Power Seats
Bi-Xenons
Porsche Crest in Headrest
Sport Exhaust

To anticipate the obvious question, I concuded that the base car was more than adequate given my level of driving skill. I passed on 19's due to local road conditions and the sport shifter after a back to back driving comparison.

Thanks for all of the great advice folks! This is a terrific community.

Steve

Thanks Dave. Love of speed yellow must be a Boston thing; this will be my second 911 in SY.

Jack is my 7 year old son; youngest of three. Long story...FWIW he also thinks I made a big mistake in not going with guards red.

Your gonna love it!!!

Consider signing up for PDE and get a real feeling for the car while you wait.

Well, I think you spec'd a mighty fine ride.

Interesting that you placed your order today (basically March 1) and you have an April build? Was your dealer holding that allocation for you? Last year I had an April order and I did not get built until July!!

Cab or Coupe?

Congrats!!

Went with the coupe. Dealer originally told me it would be May or June build. He called back and told me he was able to swap an allocation. This is the first car I have bought from these folks, but I serviced my 993 there and have a couple of friends who are VERY good customers; caught a break I guess. Dealer is Reeves in Tampa - they have been a pleasure to deal with.

With respect to PDE, there are a half dozen 911 owners in the neighborghood and none of us have done PDE. Current plan is that we will caravan up to Barber once my car arrives. We have an interesting collection of cars including an 04 turbo cab equipped with the power kit and a subsequent aftermarket upgrade that takes it to 550 bhp. Scary...

Start working out your cheek muscles now because they need to be ready for all of the silly grins you'll be doing once your car arrives!

Congrats!!
