Welcome, setUout. Reminds me of listening to sports talk radio: "Long time listener, first time caller."

Congratulations on coming over to the non-dark side! I only wish they were building these things 32 years ago when I first started buying Porsches! I can't think of a better introduction to the marque. You are going to be amazed by it!

For what it's worth I think Adaptive Sports are a must. This all seems to depend on your build (I'm an athletic 6'2" with broad shoulders), but, to be honest, I was never totally comfortable in any 993 or 996 seats. I just never liked the way thay fit and felt they were molding me rather than supporting my body. The Adaptive Sports fit like a glove, no pressure points at all. Even my wife who hates driving in cars gets in these sits and never complains - even after spending all day in it (she's an athletic 5' 8").

Just sit in the regular seats and the Adaptives. If the regulars fit fine, don't waste the money and get the PSE, or something other toy. It's a Porsche there's plenty of ways of spending another $3k.

Exactly what he said. I am even 6'2" also - so what he said exactly.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm 6'1" and 180 and hate the way my shoulders spill off the sides of the standard seats. The *** seats are great and very comfortable in my opinion. I drove 90 miles without stopping and had not a single back pain, and that is the first time that has happened ever - on any car for me.

welcome to the boards, I actually just joined this week as well coming from a g35 coupe. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your 997 than you did with the previous cars.

I would also get the XLF Sports Exhaust System. Makes the car sound like a PORSCHE.....................
