HELP Please: Slight Depression On Front Bumper: Easily Fixable?
My front bumper got hit by a cardboard box (flying around on the freeway). Paint is ok (protected by clear bra) but there is a very slight depression on the bumper. Is it something that could be fixed without having to repaint the bumper or take the bumper off? Could you recommend a shop in Los Angeles/South Bay area please? Thanks in advance.

PDR doesn't work on plastic bumpers unless it's an indentation on the corners.

Have a good body shop look at it. Maybe start with Porsche dealer and see who they would recommend. They may be able to warm it up just enough with a heat gun to get it to flex back into shape. Post a couple of pics so we can see what it looks like.
Also, I would report the cardboard box to the local authorities. Those things are getting WAY out of hand! If you let one get away with this, they'll all start doing it! (Sorry, I couldn't help myself!)

The clear bra was applied by you. I am fairly sure without the clear bra the paint would have been damaged as well. It's doubly painful for me because you did such a fantastic job with this clear bra custom installation. (Another free plug for PREMIER: the best in the business and wonderful customer service.)
Actually I have a question for you: When/if I take it to a body shop, I am sure they would want to peel the clear bra. HOWEVER, I would like to peel off the clear bra now so that I could really assess the depression. Is this something I could do myself safely, and if so, would you please tell me how? (Email cannga@pacbell.net)
Thanks.

The clear bra was roughed up and camouflaged the very subtle defect underneath.
Do you happen to know any body shop in Torrance/South Bay/ Long Beach area?
Thanks and regards,

Where exactly on the bumper cover is the dent. Depending on the location it might be possible to have it 'massaged' back with heat application. If it was near a structural supporting piece, as in my case, the piece may have been damaged and will need repairing.
There's a good body shop in Long Beach called Class Auto Center. Take your car down and have Eric Sumen take a look at it. He might recall seeing a car with a similar dent (mine). Ask him if heat application might make it come back to original form. The number there is: 562-427-3575

THANK YOU for the great help. I will bring the car to Class Auto Center. I work in Long Beach so this will be great. Thanks again.
