Inflatable Spare Tire. (In the new 997 TT guide)

So Porsche has finally realised that we don't want to be at the mercy of a tube of glue...

I'm assuming it's
a) outrageously expensive as a factory order
b) even more expensive as an after market option
c) for some strange reason will ONLY fit the TT

Thank you Porsche!

That's what my dealer is saying as well,--not for the 997/S

The collapsible spare from the 996 Turbo/C4S fits the 997S. The damage is $709 and it fills up half the trunk.( Don't forget the tool kit at about $240 and the scissor jack at about $175.) It has to be inflated by the puny looking air pump that came with the car. The flat will not fit in the trunk and has to be put in the back seat. If I get a flat, I will call roadside assistance to put it on. I bought it to avoid having to get the car towed, expecting that most flats will result in a ruined tire.
