In finalizing the specifications for my 997 today with the sales manager, I learned that the X51 components are out of stock at the factory and this has caused the X51 option on the dealer's computer ordering system to no longer appear.

Does anyone have the skinny on this from the factory?

Nope, I didn't see that. Ooops.

Well, I guess I'll wait to and see what the dealer finds out from Porsche.

I guess this also brings into play the Turbo option as well. I just wonder when the official specifications and pricing will be released. Maybe it will be at the same time the X51 is available again.

Have a feeling when the TT is released, the X51 willbe back on track again. Some of the demand from the X51 should trickle over to the TT.

So much I know this option has not been avaiable since end of December. So we are no going on well over a month. It could take the factory months to catch up. This is what my dealer told me.

Dealer called today to say that performance package X51 will again be available in mid April for May and beyond production.

And, on another subject, the CPZ, thick steering wheel rim is currently not available
