Yep. The B&W part of my sig is actually an enlargement of my sills. The car came with "Carrera S" illuminated sills which were eventually replaced with the correct "Carrera 4S" sills:

I will definitely get these illuminated sills on my next p-car - I love them!

I didn't know that!

When did you get them installed? Did you post it in another thread?

I just read through this whole thread. When I purchased my C2S, I was browsing through the techquipment catalog and decided to order the illuminated sills. The dealer gave me a great price, $450 something, since I was buying the car. When I got them, I had initially thought that I would have the dealership install them, but they wanted something liike $500 in labor to do it. I thought I would try it. The upshot is that I did it myself, it can be done. I tapped into the footwell lights for power so they go on or off with them. The can be turned off manually with the switch over the rear view mirror which also controls the footwells. The install took about 2 1/2 hours (but I did not tap into the same power source as the techquipment instructions posted in this thread suggest). I think now that I've done it, it would take even less time.

If you're interested in more specific instructions, please let me know.

kicking this old post back to life and for the 997.2 :-)

Does anyone have "newer" photos of illuminated door sills fitted to their 997.2's they wouldn't mind to share?

I have just gone crazy for these and will have the illuminated door sills fitted at my next service in about 5 months time... Weird that I have absolutely fallen for these as they do absolutely nothing other than look AMAZING and do take some weight of my wallet... Price in Switzerland (W/O labour) CHF 699.45 (about the same in USD).

997.2 C4S Part number (for the record): 997.551.990.10

Look at this thread for a cheaper alternative. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...oor-sills.html

Cannot help myself for thinking it's one of the coolest things ever... Unbelievable really as it does absolutely nothing and the doors are covering the sills 99.9% of the time... I REALLY need to get these added to my C4S!!!

Thanks for sharing z3mcoupe

I have them on my 2009, but would not spring for them if I was configuring a car. The novelty wears off.

One of mine just went out about 5 minutes ago...was flickering and then died. Is that a bulb? Never had a car with illuminated sills before.

Thanks man. The only problem is that the sweet-looking CF now makes the scratched up interior sills look even worse, which means I'm probably gonna have to drop some more coin on a set of CF interior sills to match my illuminated bling.... My OCD simply won't tolerate the mismatch
