Well, just was at my dealer in Danbury and I'm having the order changed to have the lightyed sills!
I even mentioned your Avatar on nice they look.
Lucky, they had a C2S Cab that had a set on and I checked it out... Very NICE! I hope the order can be changed, if not, they'll do it at the dealer.
And yes, this forum just vaccums your wallet!

Deanski

This is the big question? The part numbers might only be different because of the alignment with the rear fender.

The order code is CXB and the MRSP is 780. My understanding was that whatever the regular aluminum door sils says, the illuminated one will say as well when ordering CXB.

I just checked with Porsche parts. Here are the associated part#'s for each model.
illiminated door-entry guards in stainless steel
997 044 800 51 with Carrera logo
997 044 800 54 with Carrera S logo
997 044 800 59 with Carrera 4 logo
997 044 800 68 with Carrera 4S logo
Different part#'s it must be a different part for the 4S.

Do the stainless steel lighted sils really scratch easily? Should I get the carbon fiber trim, even though I have no carbon fiber trim in the rest of the car? ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyone have experience with either ones?

In general, I think the CF should be a theme and not live in isolation.

Coochas, After seeing the illuminated door sills i did order them for my c4s .The code is CXB is shown on my order. I did see them on a c4s and it did say CARRERA 4S .Also i just called my salesman and he confirmed .My car was built on feb 13 and awaiting news of when it will be put on boat. Will continue checking sites to see if i find a photo but think the factory may have grabbed one from the wrong stack! We know this. It's just that none of us have ever seen a C4S illuminated door sill. Those that have a C4S and have ordered the illuminated door sill option have gotten a "Carrera S" illuminated door sill. Not very good on Porsches part.
Robster have you seen a C4S illuminated door sill??? We would all love to know if such a thing exists!

This forum is very helpfu. I spec'd a C4S for a May build last week and was told that I could not get stainles sills with the illuminated logo, so will now call the dealer and inform the rep of my finding. Also wa stold that there is no deviating stiching option in the 997 C4S, at least as of last week.
