Default Lowering a 997 C2S

I wish we Americans were offered the choice of sport suspension with LSD.
Is a 997 C2S easily lowered or does PASM get in the way. Does anyone know if it's in the pipeline for 2007 models? Thanks for your answers. I always enjoy spending time here with all you Porsche fans.

Current PASM fitted 997's can indeed be lowered. You might find these threads helpful:

For me, the H&R sport springs were a great improvement to the everyday driving experience. There is no problem with PASM, although some parts suppliers are not sure the springs will work with PASM. Let me know if you need the exact part number. The othe positive benefit is that the slightly lowered car looks better as the wheels fill up the fender wells nicely. On the other hand, a few owners have experienced problems with ground clearance on driveway thresholds, etc. For instance, if you are running an aerokit, the front overhang reportedly scrapes against almost anything.

I have absolutely no regrets that I installed the H&R springs.

Do you have any pics after the installation?

OCBen is right - there are plenty of photos already posted in the referenced threads. Another good thread is the one posted by Snergy when he received his new 06 997S. He posted great before and after photos.

I noticed last night that Suncoast has the M030 Euro suspension kit now (for 997). But query whether that kit will work with PASM?

Doesn't anybody worry about prematurely wearing out the PASM shocks and reduced suspension travel? Lowered 997s look great but I would worry about reduced handling capabilities (Not just "seat of the pants" but real-world handling) and any adverse wear effects.

I don't think there is any reason to believe that the Euro suspension kit will work with PASM, as Porsche does not offer PASM with it in any of its ROW cars.

Here is a link to a review of the 997S Euro suspension option:

my vote goes to techart, very subtle drop but on a 997s will essentially give you the exact same ride height as the euro -20.
I will post some pics after I get my aerokit installed.

Sorry Lori, but what is LSD? ... I mean, I know what LSD is but I don't know what you're talking about in this case, really, honest.

Edit: Ohhhh, are you talking about Limited Slip Differential???

Yes, I think a true performance car should have a Limited Slip Differential. I remember someone explaining why it's not as critical on the rear engine Porsche but still if they get it in Europe then it must be worth something. Am I correct.
