Any cars for sale
First post. Anyone thinking of or selling their car. I can't decide. I decided on a used 05 base 997 in the low $60's to a nicely equipped one in the high $60s, then to a Cab in the mid $70s (wife's choice) with the intent of upgrading to a used 06 C4 or 4S Cab in a few years. But then, for $15K more I can get the car I want now and won't have to upgrade in a few years. I'm thinking a base 997 will be a singficant upgrade from my 99 Boxster and I will enjoy the heck out of it. Depreciation and resale are not a factor, but paying sales tax a second time if I upgrade later just bugs me. I'm pulling my hair out. Do I really want a $100K car as a daily driver? I guess it nice to be in this position. Credit!!!
Has anyont put kids in the back seat? I have a 1 year old who I'm planniing to put back there on occasion. This is the reason I sold the Bosxter.

When my girls were young (3-6 years old) they preferred the back seats! This was in my older Carrera but the seats are about the same size. They called them the "pilot seats". :-)

fast1, fly into South Bend to check the car out, then just have Intercity deliver it to you!

why not? you can easily beat the financing rate by investing the same amount in the market
unless you meant that he shouldn't buy a car if he doesn't have the money in the first place....?

You cannot rationally explain spending 100k credit for a daily driver (I'll even call it investing, it's an investment for a healthy soul), it is an emotional decision. He sounds like he is not going to compromise everything else just to get this car. What's the freakin point in potentially owning a Yacht in your seventies at the expense of younger days and be dead at 60's. Go for it, It's the best decision I've ever made, next to choosing my wife of course
You should check out Brian's car, sounds like a great deal to me.

I am not so sure about your first line.....if he finances at 5%....he will have to make at least 8% in the market before taxes to break about even. I don't now too many people that do that on a regular basis. Maybe I don't know the right people!

i don't think it's too difficult to make 8%. they say the average is about 11 or 12%, don't they?
i know personally i've made more than 8% easily.
