Default Question about wheels

I am looking to replace my wheels later this year with modular style, fully polished wheels that have very simple flat spokes. I intend to stay with a 19 inch diameter, but increase widths to 8.5 & 11.5 inches. Front tire size will remain stock, but rears will be 305's. My search is down to Hennessey Venom 5R or 7R and Forgeline SOP3. The Forgelines are several hundred dollars more, but this is not a real issue. Kinesis wheels in a similar style may also be a possibility.

Which is the better quality wheel? Does anyone out there have experience with any of these products, either as a purchaser or dealer? Has anyone installed wider wheels on a 997 S? Do they alter handling in any way or pose body clearance problems?

Thanks for your help.

The Champion wheels (and Kinesis f110) are known to be of the highest quality and lightest composition...designed for Porsches. Can't speak to the Venoms, but I know the Forgeline's had a bad rep.

I did the F110 in full polish and love them. If you go to Wheel Enhancements web site and look up the F110 the Blck 997S Cab pic is my car. They claim to be 8lbs lighter then the factory S wheels, which is a huge unsprung weight and rotating mass savings.

Call John or Dave at Wheel Enhancement in LA (310-836-8908, www.wheelenhancement.com). They can get you anything you might want, are very knowledgeable, honest and easy to deal with. I've bought several sets of wheels from them over the years and always been happy. For my 06 C2s, they recommended Champions and I'm very pleased with them.
