To Clear Bra or Not?
I've read all the prior discussions about clear bra/paint film protection and it's pros and cons. I don't want to beat a dead horse but was wondering just what percent of the listening population went with a clear bra versus opting for au naturel. It's the last issue I'm struggling with prior to taking delivery. Thanks in advance.
Also, if you did or dit not opt for protection but now regret your decision or have changed your mind for future cars that would be interesting to hear.

I just got it done by the guys at Premier Mobile (they came to my place on tour). I must say that I am very impressed with the results. I got the bumper, headlamps and mirror done. There are virtually no discernable seams and it is nearly undetectable. Moreover, that damn whistling is now gone
Just my 2 cents.

If you decide to get one I highly recommend getting the very best film available, which is currently 3M's Aerospace film. Don't settle for anything less, otherwise you may not be happy with the results. Yes, it's also the most expensive film out there but it has the least amount of optical distortion, making the film imperceptible to the casual observer.

Highly recommended. However, discuss with the dealership the issue of the headlights. Last week when I picked up mine, they told me that Porsche's position is not to use film on the headlights because of the heat retention effect affecting the life of the Xenon.

Sorry but putting a bra on the car seems excessively **** to me. You'd have to look at the hood with a magnifying glass to see some of these pimples.
The car is supposed to be driven fast. Above 100 mph other motorists will not notice the blemishes anyway.

Agree with scycle2020 and boolala. One of the biggest problems I have experienced is that gravel (in CO, they don't sand the roads, they lay down gravel) hits all points on the front end...A-pillars, where roof meets windshield, tops of front fenders, hood up near the base of windshield, etc. Even the tops of the rear fenders. Jeez, you'd have to wrap the entire car in cellophane. Just drive the damn thing; it's a car.

I am sure the Premier guys are the exception, but every install I have seen in town has looked terrible...light cars and dark cars.
Making the whole bumper look like crap from the start rather than touching up small chips over the years is an interesting approach.
If they can wrap the entire front bumper then I would consider it, but those cut lines on the hood/bumper are terrible.

I doubt there is anyone in Atlanta that does the kind of work that Premier does that could be the reason the cars you see look so bad . It is all on how it is put on . It is too bad it requires such skill to put on and it does require a tremendous amount of skill to do it right , if you have ever seen a car that Sam has done at Premier I think many of you would be pro clear bra .

I'm a conventional bra person,--been using them for decades. I want the option of when to go bra less and when to cover up. The factory sure doesn't put a bra on them when they run them up and down B27.
