As a 996 owner, I come to this thread, as I lust after your 997s and plan on getting one in a few years with the ultimate goal being a TT one day. That said, I can't believe this is the new TT. If it is, my dreams of the ultimate car for me have died. Even if the front end is disguised, I can't figure out what they can do differently on the rear. If they don't redirect the exhaust, I am afraid that the rear will be fugly as well.

Maybe 996tt depreciation will flatten. I think when they widened the 997varients, the difference between normally aspirated and turbo versions diminished. To my eye, the 997tt doesn't look as purposeful.
My guess is that Porsche didn't invest too much time on this iteration, and is probably looking into the future. With so little upgrade and unemotional styling, I wonder what the new price will be. AS
