Default Carrera 4 Beats Carrera 2 round Rally Course on Top Gear

Wow what a great Top Gear show tonight. The Stig raced a Carrera 2 and then a Carrera 4 round a stadium rally circuit. The 4 was faster but the 2 was more enjoyable to control and nicer to drive. I wish they had used S models though.
Any one see it?

Yes I saw the show too last night in UK.... Very interesting. I think what came out of it is that they are both great cars!! James and Richard (2 of the presenters) described the 997 as their favourite sports car (quite right too!) Interestingly, Jeremy Clarkson skirted over the issue very quickly and went back to talking about the awesome £850,000 Bugati he had driven across Europe.

Try to see Top Gear if you can!

Watched it, to bad they didn't do a powerlap with it or go into any of the details when they did the race.
Half a second quicker around a 1 km track is pretty good. Would have liked to compare a lap around with psm off vs on.

E-mailed top gear folk last month re USA rebroadcast. They claim show is not dc'd but merely between seasons. They "thought" show should return to the states in December. I woulda thought they'd be more definitive. Keep your fingers crossed.

Default Video Link !!!!

Coochas Productions proudly presents the 12/11/05 Top Gear Carrera 2 vs Carrera 4 video - as requested by popular demand. ENJOY.

File is about 26 MB and about 3.5 mins.

http://coochas.com/porsche/coochas-911videos.html
Clip is at the end of the 997 section.

Commentary: An interesting piece but as pointed out above, Jeremy suddenly cuts off the discussion to talk more about that Bugatti thing...this is where the video clip ends. I think a better demonstration of AWD would be to drive a road circuit that has been hosed down.

I'll be adding 2 Cayman vids, 2 997 vids from Motorweek and the famous Paris based "Rendezvous" vid to my site in the near future.

And oh yeah,...I LOVE MY NEW CAR !!!!!!

Awesome Coochas,...thanks a million....You'DaMan. Congrats on your new ride , you are tempting me to put some snows and enjoy it in winter I waited for my first Porsche for about 15 yrs., and I am unable to drive it in snow. I even let all my friends drive it in summer, so I am not overly attached, but It's a mental thing.

P.S: I have to wait till I get home to view the video though.
