Default 997 oil temps at the track?

I was curious what sort of max oil temps folks have seen at the track, particularly with the base Carrera at full chat (shifting fairly close to the rev limiter) but not abusing the car. On a temperate day (70 ish) my water temp doesn't move from the middle, I believe 175, but oil temp. has quite a wide range. Thanks.

I've got a base 997. On hot days (85+), i've seen the oil temp at around 250 (when i start looking at those dials on the cool down lap).

Never got past 250, but that was with 60 degree weather.

Thanks for the info. Those are the same temps (a tick over 250) I was consistently seeing.

I wouldn't know, never drove a 996. But it didn't seem hot to me. 200 is normal for highway driving. With some spririted driving or driving in city traffic with some heat might yield a 225 or 230. Right around 250 seemeed perfectly normal to me. It wasn't anywhere near the "high' mark on the oil temp gauge.

About 260 degrees after 3 straight hours of 120+ mph driving on the Autobahn, with many excursions up to 150-160 mph, and many redline bumps during the process...
