Paint Swirls - What do I do?
Even though I am careful and only have my midnight blue washed by hand at two places, it was bound to happen....This morning in the sunlight I noticed swirls on both doors. Years ago, I had to have my midnight blue bmw 840 detailed every two months to keep the swirls (somewhat) away. Will it now be the same with this one? Can swirls be permantly removed?

If "swirl marks bother" you "more than anything else", than you're not in it just for the ride, like MJones, who appears not to be bothered at all by swirl marks. So that makes you like the rest of us who are in it for the ride AND the show.
If you follow my advice and recommendations you'll be able to keep your Midnight Blue swirl mark free. I did it successfully on a solid black Boxster for four straight years before I sold it.
