Thumbs up Post Trip... Bug Report

If you read my Trip Roundup thread you saw the pic of my front end plastered with bugs from 17 states over a period of 2 weeks. Splated at high speeds, Baked in the sun and frozen at least once
over night in Kansas.
Before I left I applied a couple of coats of RejeX.
Today I washed the car, and with very little elbow greese, poof, the bugs and their associated guts are gone.

With my previous 996 prior to knowing about RejeX, I waxed my car and embarked on a similar 5,000mi trip and when I returned, I washed the car and all the bugs remained...Got some Bug & Tar Remover and spent several hours attempting to clean-up the finish only to find ones that I had missed the next day, and had to do the B&T treatment again.
Then I heard about RejeX and being a skeptic, thought, yea right.

If you park your car in the garage most of the time and use those fancy waxes, guess what, they won't help a lick with bug debris removal.

Well, the bottom line is that RejeX works as advertised. and if you drive your car and collect bugs get some, and be amazed.

RejeX really works!

So Slick, Bugs Can't Stick! and thats the truth!

Do you only use rejex or is that your base and then wax on top?

TIA.

I pretty much have switched to RejeX
From the RejeX site:
RejeX can be used over existing wax; however, the duration of protection will be reduced as the softer underlying wax degrades comparatively quickly. There is no reason to wax over RejeX. As we’ve already said, RejeX leaves a shinier, longer-lasting finish than wax… and the wax can't adhere well to RejeX!
RejeX can be applied in multiple coats, allowing 8 hours curing time between coats for deeper color and greater depth of gloss. RejeX has a higher refractive index than waxes, so it produces richer, deeper looking colors and a lustrous long-lasting finish.

Used RejeX on my Cayenne and it has worked out great. Not a lot of elbow grease necessary to apply and buff, and it does impart a beautiful deep shine (really made the Carmon Red Metallic look brilliant). I am going to do the 997 soon. It also works well on wheels and both prevents the buildup of brake dust and makes it easier to clean off. This IS good stuff.

Do you use the Rejex on the whole car or just the front areas?

That's good to know for us Californians. We have bugs 365 days a year. Thanks - I'll try it.

Where can you buy Rejex? I saw pictures of the bugs and thought to myself what a mess you had.

Yes you can with no problems. I've been very happy with the results.

I found Rejex so much easier to apply than any wax I've ever used. This is important because I am essentially lazy and would rather be out driving on the weekend then polishing wax all day.
