Buy a battery tender with the cigarette lighter adapter. My car will sit for 2 weeks at a time, no problem. I was told that the GT3 battery is smaller and therefore lighter, all to save every ounce. Consequently, it doesn't hold a charge for that long, so I bought the tender.

Battery tender! It's most likely that your battery didn't get a full charge after a 2 hr drive. Keep doing this drain a few times your battery will be permanently dead. Charge it up or drive it more often.

Get the Porsche battery charger.. It plugs into your cigarette lighter socket. I plug my car in for every vacation. Vacations are the only times she sits for more than a day or two without being driven.

Even the cheapest, smallest battery should hold a charge for more than a month. Either you have a bad battery to begin with, a bad charging system, or something other than the alarm draining the battery.

I thought the word on the street was that these P-cars drain their somewhat small batteries quickly.

Unfortunately, on forums like this, you only hear problems and it makes it appear that a few probelms is the norm. Just like everyone thinks their car is doomed to have an RMS problem.

My tt will drain it's battery in just over 2 weeks, and I drive mine often. There are a couple of times you are out of town, or need a sedan for work purposes that the car just sits. The Porsche battery tender has worked fine. If the battery has gone flat a number of times, it may be sulphated and therefore ruined. AS

Is this normal? I bought a new battery for my Mercedes. Tested it and it worked fine. Next day the new battery is dead again. Am I Suppose to drive the car with the new battery?
