I got this from another forum....
"I was at the collection today. A representative from Porsche Cars of North America was updating the sales force of upcoming changes."
1. The GT3 will have shift paddles, and an the HP will be increased to 400hp.
2. The new 997 Turbo will be hitting the showrooms by this time next year, but very few allocations per dealer. The turbo will have 470 HP and the X50 version will have 525 HP.
*the only item that will be decided very shortly will be if the Turbo will have sequential shifter (paddles)standard or if it will be offered as a option.
3. Panamera will have two versions a non turbo with 400hp or a X50 with 500 HP. It will be Model year 2008 and orders will not be taken until 2007. They are speculating that the non turbo will be in the area of 130K and the turbo around 175K.
The Panamera Turbo will have ceramic brakes, 20" wheels, sequential shifter.

nooo. Porsche is converting to paddle shifters too. They were the last major stronghold of manuals. Not that paddle shifters are bad, I just hope they are an option.
And the Panamera prices are way to high if they want to sell 20,000 a year. I thought it would be competing with BMW and Mercedes and Audi. I think the non-turbo should be around 80k-100k.

With the M5 at 500HP and at half the price, I think 20,000 will be a bit ambitious for the turbo.
However, I am also surprised that the Cayenne makes up 50% of the US sales, so my guess is that Porsche has done their homework. You can't survive in the US marketplace with the highest profit per vehicle in the industry, continue to grow and expand your product line and make big mistakes. Time will tell.

That price for the Panamera is just plain silly. I don't think it is going to be that much. Look at the vehicles it will compete against. I think that was purely speculative information.
