My G Ride has finally come!!! PICS
My first "real" car. I took the plunge and decided it was time to upgrade from my college car- 1998 Accord Ex. and got this 2005 911S. I went to 3 local dealerships and they did not even help me out. They thought I was not serious so I ended up buying on eBay.

What a great looking car! The new keys look very cool too. That is surprising the dealers were like that towards you. You should go to them and show off your new ride. Maybe grab a catalog for the up coming Cayman or something. Let them kick themselves for being dumb.
I've usually been treated ok when i go to the dealers. Its usually to the parts department, but i wander into the showroom here and there. How would they know who is truly serious. I go in early mornings dressed in shorts and a T. Nowadays, high end dealers should expect more than the stereotypical consumer of these cars. I know plenty of people that are able to afford these cars easily and don't "look the part". I have noticed if you start talking with a sales rep and it shows that you know these cars better than him/her you get a little more respect. Other sales reps just need to get their head outta their rears.

Congratulations and welcome! Beautiful car (looks like mine!). Enjoy it!
Dealers can be asshats - you should write a letter to the President of Porsche Cars North America, tell him which three dealerships refused to treat you like a customer, and tell him you ended up buying on ebay beacuse your local dealers didn't bother to do their jobs.

Congratz!!!, I agree with Jim just write PCNA, no need to go down to his level, but next time you need to buy parts or something go back there and please park it where he can see you

Oh man!!! That's so nice looking. Just the same as Billy's black 997s. I swear every Porsche looks best in black. Not that I'm biased or anything...

More details of the transaction and the car please. I searched Ebay for several months for the perfect 997S at the right price but ended up buying a used one locally - looks exactly like yours.
Tell us more about the whole experiance.

Here is the auction on Ebay and my experience....
Well, I decided that I wanted to buy a 997 Carrera S in June. I was going to wait until next year for the price to drop a little but I have little patience as you can probably understand. So since I sell watches on Ebay user name: jewelersontime I'm on Ebay all the time. Each day, I search for Porsche 997 and 2005 Porsche. Then one day, I find this car which seems to be priced right and it's from an authorized dealer. The car was the color I wanted but it lacked a few options like the navigation, cd changer, and the sports chrono but I was ok with it. I called the dealer and spoke with the sales person and told him that I wanted to buy it. He says that he got a ton of emails and calls for the car but decided to sell to me since I was nice on the phone and he loved the story that I was still driving my college car 1998 Honda Accord. The item number for this car on ebay is 4564739559. In fact, I never even test drove a 997 or even seen this car in person until it was delivered to me. I would like to thank Roland Perez the sales rep who made buying this car such a positive experience for me. I bought it from a Porsche dealer in Texas called Porsche/Volvo Center. I guess the dealer that I went to by my house thought I was a "tire-kicker" but that's his mistake.
