Default Order Guides

I was wondering if anyone out there would know where I can download the current order guides for the 997 S and 997 C4S? Many thanks in advance.

Isn't it wierd that Porsche does not have the order guide out yet? Ordering cars and not able to see the current order guide sucks imo. Also, some people may be interested in the X51 package and Porsche very evasive about when that option will be available. I for one am not pleased as I want the X51 package and gave up my July build 06 and moved further down to Sept. Oct. to see if X51 is available by then.

Regards,
I do not believe the order guides are available for '06 other than for the Cayenne line-up. Renntech.org has pdf copies of order guides from other years (you need to sign up - optional fee).

I am confused. You can order a 2006 997 S and by my dealer even a 997 C4S. But you don't know the options? This does not make sense. How am I do order my car without knowing the full opion list.

From experience, the new '06 order guides will be out next month. Be patient, this is one of the best car companies in the world.

I am trying and I have loved owning the different Porsches over the years. It is just difficult when I am on the verge of making a choice between a 997 S coupe and a 977 C4S coupe. And I will need to decide what options soon. But Thank you to all so far.

There's only three or four new 06 options to choose from. X-51, Tire pressure monitoring, two tone interior (?) and something else... .

The prices for last year's options haven't changed.

So no big need for new guides yet.

I am not 100% sure, BUT I think Porsche dealers can see the specs on-line on the cars (including the 4S) via their connection to Porsche.
Alfie - if you're listening, please chime in!

I have an '06 Guards Red Cab on order since Mid-may, scheduled for a September delivery. My dealer just called and said that the glacier white instruments are not available any more at least on my 997. Anybody hear that? I can't imagine they wouldn't offer white as an option. We used an '05 order guide....

Skidude, I am on just about the same shcedule as you are with an '06 997S cab. I got the same type of call from my dealer except he told me that my special console would be produced as a standard one -- neither wood, fiber, nor paint available until further notice. Glacier white instruments, not available; console painted to body color, not available... what's up with that?

Why does this occur? If you go on the idea that the 2005 order guide will be a good starting point or base and that the 2006 is just going to add additional options to the list. Then why are the options that have been available for a year suddenly are not? The thing is I love Porsches. I have enjoyed all the different cars I have owned. I want to build a car exactly to my spec. And Porsche is one of a few companies that gives us this chance. But it is frustrating when there seems to be no reason for things to happen like stated above.

Alfie at Ira Porsche told me that he believes the 4/4S alottments will be in next week, meaning that I can spec out my 4S at that time...hopefully !!!!
SpeedRacer, if timing is an issue, keep in mind that the 4 series will not be actually arriving in the US until Nov-Dec and that most of those first cars have most likely been committed by dealers.

True. But if allocation is coming in next week and we spec one out. There is not much one can do in Sept if there are options you want on your car. Correct?
