I received a call from my friendly neighborhood Porsche salesman, Chip Davis at Bramann , on Saturday telling me that my 997 S will be built on 18 July. The car was ordered on 19 June...I can not believe that the process is moving so quickly !!!

AM radio reception shuld be pretty good in Florida...the flat state

I thought it adds a neat sort of "Euro" look to the car and, in fact, the AM reception is not all that great down here. It will certainly set the car apart and make it easier to find in parking lots

It is all about dealer allocations. I suspect this buyer lucked out by getting into a slot that had been freed up just before he ordered.

Hey no fair, I orderd mine on June 18th and was told I would be built or scheduled by the end of June, but still no word. Yes, I took someone else's position who chickened out. Thank you very much.

My dealer called me this week too - mine will be built on July 11th. Whoo hoooo! I am so damn excited!! Maybe we will be on the same boat??? The dealer told me a mid to late August delivery date to me in Nor Cal!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!
