I just zaino'd my 997, it works great. It is so smooth, like butter. Also should last very long compared to regular waxes. In my eyes, it didn't give it a super shine, but its a new car and the paint was already shiney.

I prefer Zymol. I have used it for years and I think it works very well.

If you go synthetic...definitely Einszett Glanz, Zaino, or Menzerna FMJ.

If carnauba you cannot go wrong with P21S or Zymol. IMHO, Zymol ain't worth the extra $$$.

Personally, I go with synthetic waxes as they last MUCH longer than the carnauba based waxes. They no longer look "plasticky" The depth of shine is nearly equal to carnauba waxes now.

How many layers did you use Tex? And did you use a finishing layer (think its Z6?)?

SOMEDAY it will be warm enough here for me to polish my car!!!

I haven't tried it on the P-Car yet but it worked beautifully on my black Audi TT and on my red 330 Ci so my guess would be yes..

The water doesn't really "bead", it comes off in sheets, kind of hard to put into words. As Tex says below, the car is extremely slick when done, VERY smooth.

Put three coats. Used the ZFX. Did the first 2 rather quickly, the Z2Pro seems to go a long way. Then on the third coat, I left it on over night. After I buffed the third coat off, I sprayed with Z6 and wiped down the entire car, and OMG, the slipperiness of the car is unbelieveable.

I ordered through zainobros.com and it came within 2-3 days. I got the Z2Pro, Z6, ZXF. I should have ordered the Wash but have a lot of wash left and will try to use it up before ordering the Zaino wash. My car didn't need the clay but have used the Mother's Clay I bought locally, they all work the same.

once again i would highly recommend the zaino. get the zfx, z2 (or z5 if its a dark car), and some z6. also use a clay bar. i feel that claying is the most important step in getting your car glass smooth. it really works.
do a search for "zaino" on any auto enthusiast site and see the praise this stuff gets.

My personal favorite is Pinnacle Souveran Carnuba Wax. It's of course purely a wax that should only be applied after a car's paint finish has been polished free of all fine scratches - it's the icing on the cake for that showcar look. It's pricey - you pay about twice as much as you do for the P21S. I use it especially for concours shows and when I really want to wow people with a stunning shine. You can find out more about it and read some of the reviews at: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/pin-312.html

Also that's my favorite website for general car care and detailing tips. Great site.
