Thumbs up A Break-in ride

Took a little spin yesterday before breakfast, total distance r/t from my house was 135mi. Lake Hughes road is great, fairly fast, good visability, and little traffic unlike our coastal canyons.
We in CA have had a bit of rain, so there were areas of the road with sand/dirt littering the road remaining from slide clean-up, and some areas with water still running across, always in the least favorable place, as well as a few sections that required pot hole dodging. All in all a great run.

Coming from a 996, the 997 w/ PASM is so much more planted and stable in its regular mode, no more front end unloading under acceleration, never went into sport, nor exceeded 5k, I can't wait to let her rip. The adaptive really seats do their job keeping you planted under lateral G loading. The sport shifter is a dream and is slowly getting a bit easier to shift.
I really like this car, a big step forward from the 996

I finally passed the 2,000 mile mark yesterday on my 997S. Began playing with the Sport button. The faster acceleration, due to quicker throttle response, is amazing to feel. Now I can finally flirt with redline.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I also took some d-tours the first weeks :-)

Don't like to make you guys feel bad or sad, but I'm sitting with 3200 miles on the clock. Take your time and break it in the way you feel comfortable with, its worth the wait. In particular the acceleration from second or third gear from the feeder onto the highway is great. Lateral balance and grip took some time to adjust too. Don't overdo it, as the consequences can be bad.

Have fun.

Curse you SoCal owners!!! What do we get here in Illinois if we go 135 miles round trip? Iowa? Southern Wisconsin? Or, shudder, northwest Indiana??!$#@&^!!
