This is a R&T time, so I don't trust it for a second. Their times are always, without fail, 15% lower than anybody else's. I think they have this % built into the software they use to measure the times.

If one magazine always posts times lower than you EVER see anywhere else, are you trying to tell me their drivers are just better 0-60 or that their cars are better or that they got the perfect conditions or that blah blah blah blah blah....

Come on, obviously their numbers are tweaked!

I respectfully disagree. Check R&T's 'Road Test Summary' page contained in every issue of R&T, usually located near the end of the mag.

Remember, none of us on this board would dream of abusing our cars by performing the clutch-dropping madness to which all of these pubs subject the poor vehicles.

With that caveat in mind, the acceleration numbers of R&T listed in Road Test Summary for dozens of vehicles are more realistic than C&D or Motor Trend by far. Autoweek is probably the most objective.

As others have said, it would be nice if R&T would elaborate more thoroughly on the data obtained from their dyno testing and detail exact driver method at launch.

Using the new g-tech time computer, i ran a 3.95 0-60 in a stock 997S, 1/4 mile run at 12.16. went to Atco with the g-tech installed and it was on with the 1/4 mile time and speed the time ticket had. only had a chance to get one run in at the track and ran a 12.43 at 111.
60' 1.733
330' 5.158
1/8 7.989 mph 87.65
990' 10.337
1/4 12.431
mph 111.57

Beautiful 60' time!

Nice to see they're able to run the times being reported.

WHO CARES! We all have nices cars. They cost a lot and we want to feel good about the purchase. Some think think the ultimate is to go fun 0-60 faster then anybody else - fine. 30-120 great. I do not hear much about 120-175mph and more importantly 140-70 or 30.
This could end up as the longest thread in history. should be titled effect of testosterone posioning.

I see spec miata's stop the sh*t out of p car every week. Get in you car a become a better driver. If you want to go fast, do it at the track or autocross. That is the only place it counts.
