Aftermarket Pedals for the 997S
Does anyone know if any companies make a nice set of pedals for the 997 or if aftermarket units for the 996 will fit the 997?
I find the stockers somewhat uncomfortable for heel-toe shifting.

there are the aluminum ones from 'ruf'; look also at the ones from www.carnewal.com [in fact they are the same as the rufs' ones, but without the brand engraved]
carnewal has them for 996 and 997 types.

Second that recommendation. I had a set on my 993 and they are awesome (look and function)

I had looked at the rennline pedals for my 996. I emailed them a couple days ago and they confirmed their current product does not fit 997's, but that they will have something out soon.

I don't know about the 997 pedals, but on my 996, you remove the rubber caps from the brake and clutch. The aluminum pedals go directly over the stock gas and dead pedal. They are attached by machine screws so you need to drill 2 holes for each pedal (3 for the dead pedal). The gas, clutch and dead pedal are easy, since they are plastic, but the brake pedal is made from very hard steel and was a bitch to drill. Lining them up takes some patience, and you need to be a bit of a contortionist to get the lock nuts on the back of the pedals, but the result is worth it.
Unfortunately, with the Euro where it is vs. the dollar, buying stuff from Europe ain't cheap these days.
