Default 997/S in white

Anyone seen one in white or does anyone have any scans of a white 997/S out in the wild so to speak.

I was looking at some Porsche mags last night and there were a couple of shots of original 911's in white. It looked terrific, and really "clean". It had me wondering whether white might be an interesting alternative to silver/gray.

Thoughts? What color interior would work best? Any good scans of a white 997 to share?

I love the 911 in White. I have one ordered... I ordered black interior but am thinking about the grey.

There are some photos posted here - if you search the 997 forum you should find them.

I saw (and posted awhile ago) a white 997 on the floor at Strongs in Salt Lake City. It had the olive green interior (I don't know what Porsche calls it) and it looked spectacular. I was really quite surprised, because that combination wouldn't have initially occured to me, but it really looked very nice. In fact, the guy that went in with me (I had a silver 997 with Sea Blue interior on order) seriously considered buying it on the spot, but for his recent purchase of an M3.

I think white looks good (and is a serious contender for me) but I think it looks really good with white painted wheels to match (the old 996 speedlines look fab)

Somehow the standard alloy colour looks a bit sad against the white bodywork.

Anyone have any pics of white + white wheels ?

I saw a white one the the blue interior and it actually made me stop and look at it again. It looked fantastic.

That was the 1st time. The second time (last Sunday) I had slicks on and what a difference! 142 mph on the Sebring track. Fantastic stock brakes, no fade.

Nice looking wheels on the 997S! Anyone know what they are? Maybe the new Champion RS98's?

Correct - just confirmed with Dave at Wheel Enhancement that they are the Champion RS98's - I was checking them about a week or two ago and have been pondering getting them to replace the clamshells (which I still kinda like though maybe I'm tiring of them a little).
