Question Car Status

I notice that allot of expecting owners seem to the status of your cars. Is there a way to get that information with out calling the dealer everyday??? If I speak to my sales guy one more time about my status he may delay my car!!!

The car will arrive when it arrives, and I promise he will call you, to get the money and close the deal

no, porsche offers no online tracking system like many other manufactueres do nowadays,

especially in this age of 500 options per car, many people order, not just with high end cars.

anyway, there is nothing short of calling the dealer everyday.

however if you order one of the higher echelon models, the dealer will likely check it every morning, and call you if theres an update.

final answer is: you have to call the dealer.

Yes, they can check the status for you. Some times the tracking is several days behind. When your car order comes to the cut off date a completition date is published. ie on my cut off date of July 22nd the completition was published as of October 11 and it was completed on Oct 14th. Now the computer does not show it on it is on a vessel but it probably is.

the ONVESL date that is published is usually 5-7 days behind.

Even the online tracking services offered by BMW are notoriously out of date. They were always a couple of weeks behind, and listed the car as on the container ship the day I picked it up. However, BMW did offer an 800 # where a live customer service rep. could check in real time. I must have called that number 50 times!

well at least they HAVE those services, plus, the automated, or 800 number. that way you dont have to bug your salesman every few hours.

true hes making money off the deal, but its still bad etiquette to call someone too often and bug them about something that is going to come sooner or later anyway, just a matter of time.
