Default Tow Hook Cap replacement

I have been using a tow hook bracket for the front license plate on my 997.1 Turbo and lost the cap (wife threw it away...). Part number is 997-505-703-01-G2X-OEM
Anyone know if the 987 or even the Cayenne is the same size. Part number for the 987 is 987-505-703-01-G2X-OEM
Thanks

Try Eric's company Bumper Plugs.... he has the parts and will paint to match your car.

You might try your local Porsche dealer body shop to see if they have or stock. Having it paint matched will be the biggest expense. Had to replace the front bumper on my 2013 Boxster S and the cap was a separate part with paint hours.

Who is Eric? A Rennlister? I live 8 miles from BumperPlugs. I would enjoy meeting The Man.

Google Eric Sklut

I purchased bumper plugs and key-hole plugs from him for my Boxster S and C2S and the paint was perfectly matched.

For a $20-$30 part on a bumper, I'd be tempted to paint it myself or find a shop that does a lot of porsche and ask them to spray it whenever they got a car of the same color. I know Eric gets rave reviews but the cost is a little high for what you get. I wish they had a service where you could pay a bit less but with a much longer production time so they can batch colors.

A quick online search came up with a company called paintedoemparts or something like that (no affiliation and have never used them) that seems to do those tow hooks for about $100 including the part.

Needed to get my car inspected and have to have a front plate on for it to pass (MA). I bought a tow hook mount because I figured it would be quick on for the inspection then back off immediately after. Of course, the damn tab on the tow hook cover broke. These stupid things are $50+ and then whatever additional for paint. $300 all-in at bumperplugs and $100 at paintedoemparts.

The broken tab is in the hole. Any way to glue it back on to make it functional again?

As much as I think it looks kinda silly to drive around with a tow hook all the time, I'm tempted to do it just to fill the space. Or the license plate mounting bolt since it is black and would blend in.

So aggravated.
