@mkp81 Congratulations and welcome to the 997 world! Carrera sport wheels on silver paint is just classic, pure Porsche goodness. And bonus points for posing her next to a HABU.
Off topic but do you know anything about that airframe? I can't tell from the photo if it's an A-12 or if it has had the RSO canopy removed.

I don't know much about that ole bird but she's been perched there for a long time. Here's a link to an article I just found, looks to be an A-12.

Just sold my 997 to fellow RL member - Thought you guys wouldn't mind me slipping in photos of my new to me 1959 356 Super coupe which I owned years ago, sold in 1997 and recently purchased back.
Just got some photos a few days ago.
I do miss my 997 and will most likely replace it when I get my piggy bank more full. The 356 set me back a bit

@mkp81 That ole bird was designed with slide rules, built with titanium sourced from the Soviet Union using CIA-run shell companies, fueled with special gas that cost more per gallon than single-malt whisky, and still flew faster and higher than anything since. HABU was a nickname given to the planes flown out of Okinawa after a local snake.

Did you borescope it before you bought it?

When I sold it in 1997, I had done compression test on it and all cylinders were 130. The person who bought it and has owned it since 1997 only put 4800 miles on it.
Engine runs super strong.

Installed a new front spoiler this week. Love how it looks. But sadly it flew off when I went over 90mph. 3M tapes it used to hold it up was definitely not strong enough. Need to figure out a better way to mount it before I get a replacement one.
