I'm in the process of fixing a leaky door(carpet wet) and found several video's/tutorials on removing the door panel, but nothing on removing the metal inner door skin(liner). I can't find a write-up/video on how to remove it. Beyond the screws and speaker plug, not sure of the process for there other wires/plugs. Just don't want to create more work for myself, since others have done it. Thanks

Do you have the shop manuals ?
Does this help?
FWIW - I had the interior panel off for something else and didnt have enough time (& DIY video) to remove/replace the carrier panel, so I just pulled the carrier panel back and caulked the heck out of the seal. Stopped the leak. Figured I could do it right next time if need be. Been about 5 years now.

Huge help! I didn’t realize it was called the carrier panel, so now I easily found video on removal.
I took the door card off, sprayed a bunch of water on the window. Water drained from the front door drains as it should, no leaks from the seal. Want to get the panel off to see if there is anything obstructing the channel of water, slowing the draining process, causing overflow thru the other low holes in the door frame. Having this issue on both sides.

Is this the metal panel that is revealed when you take the doorcard off?

Lower seal of the carrier panel is not in great shape, so replacing it along with a plastic barrier(butyl aluminum waterproof tape & 6 mil poly sheeting). Probably overdone, but I've got it all apart, why not.

How much are the seals?
Might as well do a speaker upgrade while you're in there . . .
