And I stopped for gas in a little podunk town in southern Illinois and two ~12 year old boys ran up to me giddy as hell asking if they could take pictures. Really put a smile on my face.

Cute Lab. I have a silver/black lab and she’s such a great dog.

Why are you rebuilding your engine? Is it just to ad displacement?

Bilsteins have been on there since I bought the car. Just giving that info because I think it’s useful when people are trying to figure out spacers and suspension set ups etc.

I believe it's been repainted in Arena Red. Not my ideal colour, but I'll take it over matte silver wrap anyday lol.

Matte silver….different strokes for different folks, I guess. Agree it wouldn’t be my first choice, but it looks great in that picture.

I'm of the opinion that matte should be left for Lambo's and Audi's... and as far away from a Porsche as possible lol! Hopefully after some minor touchups in some spots where paint was lifted by the wrap, followed by a polish to remove any gum residue, it should look better!

LM's! Man how are your front indicators so shiny? Actually, how is your whole car that shiny?!

I checked my cars for fault codes a couple of days ago, using my iCarsoft CR Pro+. The only things that came up where a coding error on the gateway (probably the Mr12Volt Bluetooth module) and an 8003 error for the right door, and indeed the door light didn't work. The filament was clearly broken and, since the light also had some glue residue on it, I ordered the complete light which is dirt cheap for a Porsche part, only around €11. Unfortunately, even after replacement the error persists and the light doesn't work. I found a thread here that describes the same problem. I haven't found a definitive solution yet but it looks like PIWIS can fix it. I'll first try to disconnect the battery in the hope that it will reset the door module.

I also finally managed to reset the service indicator with the iCarsoft - by choosing Boxster/Cayman instead of 997 as car model.

Just finished installing a set of Eibach sport springs. I'm not sure if the springs will settle more, but am happy with the result and the ride doesn't seem any harsher, which is a plus.
