Preliminary Order Guide
Does anyone have a preliminary order guide for the 997? One was posted on on Auto Spies recently, but was unreadable (surprise). My dealer says they've not received any ordering info at this point. Thanks.

997 Orders
I don't think you can actually order cars until final options and prices have been set. You can, of course, put down a deposit and get on the dealer's list for 997 allocations.

I don't know who "we" is in this case, but if prices and options have not been finalized, and buyer specs firmed up, it's unclear how an order could be formally entered into Porsche's manufacturing system. Please educate us on all the above.

I sell at a dealership in Canada. Allocation for september and October production has been distributed to all North American dealers already. The empty allocations are sitting in Porsche's e-DCS computers, waiting for the dealerships to order cars. I sold our September build Carrera. I took a deposit of $10,000CDN on the car, and went through the Prelim order guide with my customer. I then went into the Porsche e-DCS system and ordered his car. I have an order confirmation number and his car is currently ORDXMC status, which means his order has been transmitted to PAG.
We don't have full pricing yet, but I assure you, we are able to order cars.

The first 997 allocated to Hawaii will be going to my buddy.
He is suppose to be getting 1 of 4 allocated to Hawaii. So far no pricing is available. He has on order, a Seal grey, black leather int. (partial?), heated/power sport seats, adaptive seats, navigation, bose sysyem, litronics, and chronometer package(?). It's do to arrive in 7-9 weeks.
