Default Wire going into Handbrake parts diagram?

Hey guys. While installing my numeric shifter today, I noticed a yellow/brown wire going into the handbrake, essentially completely frayed. It hasn't affected the car, so i just reassembled the center console anyways. However, I do intend to take care of it once I get more spare time. the wire goes into the plug in the attached photo. Does anyone know what the wire is for and where I can find it on the parts diagram? I'm assuming it's a sensor wire to tell the car the parking brake is engaged.

I'm sure it's the handbrake sensor wire that lights up the notification on the dash when the brake is engaged.

agree. I drove the car today and noticed that light doesn’t work. It probably never worked since I got the car, but I don’t notice it. Lol
