The engine looks awfully "tall"----> Curious if modifications to engine lid are necessary for fitment?

The only modification is the shorter valve cover. Which then makes room and it actually fits in there probably better than the factory motor lol

update on mine, so far I have 80 miles on it. hopefully getting the tune completed ASAP. so far it's been great and I'm running super low boost on the wastegate to make sure it's good.

can't wait to see more of these get completed, and love to see the progress!

So a quick update.....NOTHING is going quick! LOL...trying to keep my buddy on track that's helping with this....and the brains behind the operation. But some cool things in the works:

-Haltech ECU using the factory plugs on the firewall, just repined on the engine side.

-Some new engine mounting ideas: Side mounts? Center craddle mount? but we will use the factory engine motor mount to limit NVH even more.

-D2 RS suspension on order!

-PacWorks intake manifold is on the way!

-All AN fittings for coolant, fuel and oil

-Carbon rear deck and spoiler

-GT3 front bumper!

using a bunch of tuning by nick parts, and I did everything else. currently have around 300 miles on it. I am on version 2 of the exhaust, the first one was way louder than expected and I had to add a muffler.
still waiting on link to give us a new firmware to finalize things, but overall it's great.

I am in process of doing rear wheel bearings, and new windshield and a few other things not related to the swap.
Here is a pic from yesterday.

SOOOO!! Been a LONG time of R&D, but moving forward slowly but surely:

Going to test fit the engine/tranny this week.

Installed the D2 RS coilovers and have all the parts about ready to roll.

Decided on a LINK ECU for it as well instead of the Haltech. Better support TBH.

Working on a custom set of wheels for it as well. Same as the version on my TLX Type S, just 19" and MUCH wider! Covering that in another post.....

Doing a GT3 front bumper, from Porsche, a wing of some sort and carbon side skirts.

Sigh....slowly but....slow......

More coming soon...ish

Speaking of which, if you plan to get this running soon then PM me your email. The current public Link firmware does not have some fixes (PSM light is on in the public version, which is months behind our beta versions). I can give you the Beta firmware and instructions of how to install it. Everything works as you'd expect - all gauges functions, PSM, PASM (if equipped), ABS etc.
