Default PCCM Volume Issue Resolved

Quick Summary: iPhone Setting > Disable SoundCheck

I've noticed some rumblings about volume issues with the PCCM. I recently got mine and noticed the issue as well. I dismissed that some people said it was fine as people who just don't listen to music with the windows down and stereo blasting. I even went so far as to get a line level driver as someone else on this forum suggested and that kinda worked but the volume control was very non-linear and I noticed the volume stopped increasing after a certain level anyway though I could force it louder. That seemed strange to me. Also everyone reported that FM was fine.

Now, I'm guessing most of the people having the issue have iPhones with SoundCheck enabled and everyone who doesn't has an Android phone or had the common sense to disable that feature. Just go to Settings > Music > SoundCheck (way down the page) and disable it. FM still seems a bit louder, but now the sound seems about right and the volume control is much more linear.

Out of curiosity were you using Apple Music or does this setting also impact Spotify and other CarPlay apps?

Right but which app on your iPhone were you using for music in the car? Were you using Apple's music service, Spotify or something else entirely?
