Default Official Speed Yellow thread

I was at a work happy hour yesterday and saw a Speed Yellow 997 in almost the exact same spec as mine - C2S, Lobsters, yellow seatbelts and console. It occurred to me that I never see SY cars that aren’t Turbos, GT3’s, etc. - and I don’t see many of those either.

Post your pics of Speed Yellow 911’s.

Here’s a shot from yesterday:

Wow - gorgeous car. Great spec!

How many miles do you have on it? Has anything been done to it besides the supercharger?

My 997S Cab is Ocean Blue Metallic so at least I can reasonably post here!

Pictures of my 1973 911S in Speed Yellow and my 997's older cousin - my 2004 GT3 in Speed Yellow (it now has the factory carbon fiber "RS" wing).

I love Speed Yellow but had to settle for Ferrari Yellow. Close enough for me.

Was yours a paint to sample/special order? Love the Aerokit and Carrera wheels!

Thanks. Yes, PTS. I was dead set on SY but this was indeed close enough. I didn’t find many Speed Yellow coupes during my search, as I’m sure you know, so being PTS Ferrari Yellow was a cool little bonus. Wheels for me were not a big deal because they are a lot easier to change out, but the Classics have really grown on me. Would love to compare the difference in yellow side by side one day.

Thanks so much. I love it. Searched for quite a while to find what I wanted. The car has just under $35k miles. While there have been no other performance mods done but the VF supercharger, I am in the process of installing a pretty large audio upgrade.

You can see a lot of pics in this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...pgrades-2.html

Well, you know I’m right down the road in Austin. Maybe PM me before the next event or whenever you’ve got time. The Ferrari Yellow looks great.

Yeah, I haven’t been down LCR in a while. I hear it’s getting a little sketchy out there. Homeowners throwing gravel in the road and a high police presence. Maybe on a trip out there sometime this month.

Speed Yellow is a great color. Much prefer it to the current lemon-like yellow PAG offers now.
