Looks best in Guards Red - which is strange - as GR never suited 996.

Looks sweet - definitely an improvement over the 996. Now let's see if they addressed the RMS problems....

Rear Main Seal ( RMS ) . Do a search on the 996 board and you will see some 996's being affected by a failing RMS.

On topic, I must admit that the black Carrera S with the yellow calipers looks pretty sweet. 2 things I noticed:

1. It looks like the S is not a wider body than the Carrera???
2. The picture where the GT3 was along side the normal Carrera is pretty telling. The new car is wider and it looks lower too!!! Still the form follows more the 996 than the 993.

great pics indeed!

It appears to be a current model year (996) Turbo Cab though. Only other possibility is Turbo S cab?

Link works fine...

In order to see pictures on Rennteam you have to be registered there.

DJF1 - 997 Carrera and S share the same body. Flaring reported as ~1.5" versus similar track 996. The S now designating uprated suspension and engine as opposed to adoption of the Turbo body in the 993 & 996.

It does look like the current model, but why would it be disguised? And it does appear to have small vents behind the doors.

It's not disguised. The white stuff is the protective layer added before transportation. If you've ever seen a Cayenne being delivered on the back of a transporter, it looks like the whole car has been vacuum packed in white plastic.
