Default key fob replacement

Anyone in the jersey shore area that can help me take my old key apart and make a new one , looks like the important part is transferring the small control module ? Thanks Don

If you'd like to do it yourself, here is a step by step guide for replacing the entire cover. Of course you can also only replace the damaged components if for example you have lost the red triangular lock button which is what I replaced in my key fob, swapping out the cover and left everything else alone.

I have replaced my key fob body several times. You are correct that removing the pill is the trick to the process. For some reason, the pill is glued into the key fob which results in destroying the fob body. I actually found someone on e-bay that will do the fob replacement for you. It costs about $90, including the new fob, and they do all the work of removing the pill and key blade and installing them into the new fob body. All you need to do in send them your old key. The process took about a week.
