997.1 Targa 4 - Pre Purchase Questions
#32
Post back if you buy it. So we can spend your money on upgrades….
1) Fister/Gundo exhaust if it doesn’t have Porsche sports exhaust
2) Porsche updated stereo
3) I’m guessing it needs the normal 997.1 new temp/fan buttons, stereo buttons, clear side markers.
4) spacers
5) Numeric short shifter
6) DSC controller if addable
Many many other ways to spend your money. Let us know!

I'm thinking:
1. Fister
2. PSE Exhaust Tips (not 100% sure though - might keep stock).
3. Clear Side Markers
4. PCCM+ (Still looking at 3rd party units as PCCM+ is expensive but it's "stock")

Ignoring the strut boots as in, it doesn't really harm the car and just wait to do the struts altogether? Curious on why ignoring the iceblast (unless youre looking specifically at cost) if there is some surface rusting on the bottom. Alternatives?

The ice blast for rust is 100% cosmetic; it's not like removing the visible surface rust is going to do anything to stop further rusting. If you want to stop the rust, you need to start painting
The torn boots are super minor. $1500 is an insane amount to money to address this. I think some folks who responded may be confused between strut boots and CV boots. The struts boots help getting some dirt away from the seals, but these are loose boots, and some sand/water/grit intrusion is going to happen even with good boots.
TPMS is a PITA. Delete is easy.
