Default 2011 Porsche GTS - a unique Euro/US car

Hey all,

It seems like some folks here have made attempts to document various forms of the GTS, so I thought I'd share some details about acquiring this fairly unique 2011 GTS in dark blue metallic. According to the vehicle's service book, this GTS was first owned by Porsche and I suspect it belonged to a Porsche employee in Stuttgart or Weissach (as indicated by most of its service stamps). The car was delivered in Dec 2010 and in the first 6 months it miraculously covered nearly 20,000 miles(!). Late last year, I imported the vehicle from a seller in the Netherlands after realizing it was a rare US-spec car based in Europe. The car has all the correct emissions stickers, passed US customs, smog checks, etc. Despite the US spec, this GTS retains some Euro features, like a cluster in km and euro bumpers. It was a lengthy 6-month process to import the car, service it, and eventually transport it to where it now lives in CA. Some unique highlights about this GTS:

- Dark blue metallic over sand beige
- Nearly all leather options checked (speaker grills, A/C vents, seatbelt covers, sun visors, steering column, center column, PDK surround, etc.)
- Factory aero kit
- Sport PASM with LSD
- PCCB

Pics of the car:

What a rare/cool spec. I'd love to have PCCBs on mine. Saves on brake dust and the rotors are effectively lifetime. Nicely done.

I agree. Unique build, particularly the color, Aerokit and PCCB.
Enjoy the Malibu Canyons, you own the perfect tool to carve them up.

Please share the VIN- interested in viewing the complete list of options. TIA.

Spectacular colour combination. The wheels and body colour look great with the yellow accents of the brake callipers.

Congrats! That is a phenomenally bad-*** car and well worth the effort to acquire. DBM is a great color.

Beautiful car, but I think I'm more impressed with the level of self control you have. I don't know how I'd be able to hold back and not compromise on spec on two years of daily searching!

What a very nice exclusive spec. Congratulations!

I'm assuming the process to get it registered in CA wasn't that difficult since it's a ROW car. If it wasn't, do you might sharing the hurdles.

@DesmoSD the car is actually US spec so fortunately no major hurdles with the import. US Customs and EPA required proof of two stickers: inside of driver's door showing it meets NHTSA safety standards, under deck lid showing it meets CA EPA standards. No mods required to the cluster since the digital display shows mph.

Shouldn't there be option codes for painted washer caps and lower rear valance. Weren't they all black on the gts unless ordered otherwise? Thats a great car. Enjoy it. Very very nice.
