Default Need help putting back interior panel

I need some help in how to put the back panel right underneath the rear glass. I took it out to install a rear view camera and I can put it back on but it squeaks like crazy whenever I do. What’s the right way to put it back on and eliminate all the squeakness when driving ?! I even tried putting electrical tape on the metal parts to eliminate the squeak but it doesn’t go away. See attached pic for reference as to what part I’m talking about. Thanks for all the help!

There are so many clips with that one it is hard to get right. I’d just pull it out, note where they are, align it up and make sure you hit all of them.

Agreed. You probably missed one of the clips. Take it off and make sure all the clips are lined up. Push hard and make sure each clip is secured.

The clips age and lose their ‘springiness’ …hence squeaky/rattling noises 🤫

- buy 5 new ones and silicone the insides where they grip. (this helps remove them in future if required. Mine gripped like a madman!)

…and then make sure the ‘locators’ haven’t snapped off the removed panel - (where the clips slide on) - Two of mine had…😫

…the videos I watched said to remove the panel by pulling the bottom out.

If you look at the fixings - you actually need to pull from the top otherwise you may snap the fixings on the removed panel when they bend.

As above…
from ECS & Pelican Parts and obviously Porsche themselves.
…and buy all 5 new ones to replace the old ones.
👍
