Any Toronto area 997’ers recognize this car?
I’m looking at this 997.1 and wondering if anyone recognizes it? According to CarFax there was a PPI at EU Motorwerks in 2016 at 70K. Records go blank after that except for a windshield replacement and a 1000 “miscellaneous” damage claim. Likely going to take a look this weekend.

Price is in CAD and Canada is debt crazed. I think median financing term is over 7 years (perhaps longer now). Canada pricing is therefore usually higher, even FX adjusted. Worse still when considering taxes!
To OP - good luck but hope the PPI is done at a third party and thorough.

My ‘06 C2 was just valued higher (in CAD) but with much lower kms. This one is a good price. But get another PPI and do a thorough inspection. I know so much more now than when I bought mine that it is crazy - I would probably spend 2 hours up and down it now - not to mention a good test drive. In TO, you are going to get more miles on these and I find TO drivers are a little harder on their cars (no offence.). I am sure the seller will have it professionally presented for viewing.

Went by World Fine Cars today at my scheduled appointment time after braving the traffic on a Saturday morning. Oddly, the car was in the showroom and blocked in by 6 other cars. I guess they thought I was just coming by to… sit in it? The grey interior is a better colour than I expected though. Best I could get them to do was at least start the engine for a few moments. The car is in rough shape physically (stone chips galore) but engine sounded fine. The rear passenger window seal was damaged/missing to the point water could enter (missing about 1/4 inch thickness of the seal over a few inches). They said they would agree to a PPI at a local shop of my choice. Hard sell to invest in a thorough PPI which could simply turn up problems I could discern myself with a test drive.
Not exactly a confidence inspiring sales process.

Its really hiw things are done these days and super annoying. However you need a ppi regardless, you'd be mad to buy one without it, especially being a .1.
The price these cars are now, if you don't need 4 seats I'd seriously consider a brand new supra.

Whatever you do get a Bore Scope Inspection. 3.8L S engine much more prone to scoring.

Where are the stone chips? On the front bumper and quarter? If it's the bumper, that only means it's time for an Aero Kit bumper.

Hi guys.
I drove that car. OP, you're correct in your review of that car. Very rough around the edges. I had to place a dep to drive the car which was returned after offering what I thought was reasonable for "that" car.
I ended up purchasing a 997.1 4S shortly after seeing that car. Was surprised to see the condition of the inventory even the high end ones.
At any rate, I'm back into a P- car and am looking forward to learning about the new car as well as some good tips and resources for performance shops in the GTA.
