Question 911 Carrera 4S: adding Bluetooth to PCM 2.1

Greetings!

Can you share a successful experience of extending the standard PCM 2.1 with Bluetooth for connecting to a smartphone to listen audio and communicate, please?

Thank you.

There are tons of threads on this in this forum. I replaced a legacy BT phone solution (Tooki) with a Mr12v unit (https://www.mr12volt.com/collections.../p600-lp1605po) which has been flawless with both BT phone and BT audio. Installation was very straight-forward.

I've had the Dension in mine for 10 years.

Thank you for the suggestion.
In my unit there is not CD changer – only a single CD slot.
Was it the same case as yours?

Mine had the CD changer (which I removed), but from what I've read, it's more about having the MOST loop enabled (so you need either CD changer, NAV, Bose audio, or the factory phone module) to support the Mr12v w/o dealer assistance.

Hm...
From the Mr12v videos I understood that after the installation you loose CD playback capability and the menu section CD turns to Bluetooth gateway.
That's why I am worrying that after the installation I won't be able to playback CDs at all.

If I get a chance I'll test that today. I honestly haven't put a CD into the slot since I put the Mr12v in--all my music is bluetooth.

I have the Mr12v and can still play single CD in the PCM CD slot. Bluetooth streaming music from phone plays though the CD button (shows up as BT Audio) on PCM. Car came with Bose and CD changer.

I also have the car with Bose and CD changer.
In your system Bluetooth streaming music from phone in CD mode. In this case: how do you switch between single CD and Bluetooth playback?
