As long as you don't indulge in frequent short trips, I would be suspicious. Have you been losing coolant?

If your air/oil separator is contaminated you will notice smoke at startup.

No, I changed the coolant about a 1000 miles ago and haven't lost anything. The car does smoke some on start up, there's also a little oil in the throttle body. But I guess there's always some blow by? I don't drive short distances, each trip min 45 minutes.
