Default Brake upgrade

Gents - my 06 C4 will be in for brakes soon - any worthwhile upgrades or go strictly OEM? And has anyone refinished the calipers?

I would guess there are 100 threads on here with this info already.

For calipers use G2 2-part caliper lacquer or powdercoat them.

Just did a set.of 928 calipers this weekend with the G2. Have used it on 4 cars to date and it lasts for decades if you prep it right.

For rotors, I like dba (Disc Brakes Australia) slotted rotors and Hawk ceramic (yellow box with the Z in the part #).

Brake parts for 05 997 c2s but the fronts are only the rotor rings as I already had the hats from my previous set

These calipers were done with G2 also in 2013 and still look like this. These were done on the car.

Painted the ones on my old 991.2 w/ Super Wrap Paint - Powder Coat Appearance (I did about 10-12 light coats on each caliper)

@teebone
Here's my OEM caliper upgrade and refinish thread - also including posts from several years later showing how well the paint held up:
