LARGE USB drives for PCCM+
The PCCM+ seems to be able to handle lots of USB drives, the difficulty is in the drive formatting.
It DOES NOT support the exFAT file system, which is standard for drives larger than 32GB. You CAN format those drives with FAT32 however, and I've done that and tested up to 128GB.
There may be other issues that crop up with larger drives, and there of course may be issues that certain hardware has, but I think this is the crux of the USB "compatibility" issue.
I usually use one of my linux machines and gparted to reformat SD cards and USB sticks, but you can also do it with windows and mac.
However, while windows will read and write to FAT32 formatted sticks >16GB just fine, but it will REFUSE to format them that way. You can do it with 3rd party formatting software though on windows. Have not tried it on mac yet, but should be no issue there.

Confirming that connecting the antenna cable directly to the top antenna port on the PCCM+ did the trick! I now have good reception of FM and AM stations and can even see the listing of stations. Thanks so much for the help!

No audio
Sorry if I missed this somewhere - I've searched and can't seem to find an answer. I just installed the PCCM in my 987.1 with Bose tonight and I'm not getting any audio at all. I've tried FM, bluetooth and wired connection. Absolutely no audio signal coming through speakers. Any ideas? I do not have the CD changer. Thanks for any help you can provide! Happy to post pics if they'll help.

I found the culprit. Pulled the unit back out and found a second brown 2-wire fiber optic connector in my mess of wires. I unplugged my other fiber optic wire and plugged in the newly found one and it worked. Hopefully nothing crazy will happen without the other cable plugged in. Thanks for the help. I hadn't run the configuration yet so did that, too.

Install has gone reasonably smooth for me so far, no major issues outside of the GPS signal being a bit finnicky at the start.
I've installed the headunit and the antenna bypass and everything is working, good FM/DAB sound etc. I still need to replace the two units on the A frame pillar as well as do the frunk bypass. Given the headunit is working already, is anyone clear on what exactly swapping out the antenna booster and adding the bypass does? I will do it from a complete install perspective but everything seems to be working without having done those 2 parts
(This is an Australian unit which I think is EU)

Hi all. I have an issue with the unit in my Boxster. It powers itself off after 30 minutes. I know there's a setting to determine how long the unit stays on after the ignition is switched off, but I've set that to be always on and it makes no difference. Anyone else had the same problem?

Does this happen with the car on and running? If so, pull the unit out (but still connected with the loom), and test the power feed in with a multimeter. If the unit turns off but is still receiving the +12v feeds, then it’s something internal to the unit. If the switched +12v is what’s switching off after 30mins then it’s something to do with your car’s circuitry.

Do the test as I said to isolate the fault to either PCCM or car

New to the forum here. I used the instructions at the top of the thread to install the PCCM+ in my 997.1. It was very helpful (big thanks to the contributors) and worked perfectly...for about 200 miles.
The audio output has stopped while everything else works. Reinstalled the old PCM and the audio works (which rules out the amp as the culprit). Reinstalled the PCCM+ and still no audio. I ran the self diagnostic and indicates that the MOST Box and MOST Bus are not ok. Any tips on what do do? is the MOST Box a replaceable part?

MOST would be the orange fiber connectors. Is the MOST box still connected to the orange fiber optic cables? Is the MOST box still getting power from the PCCM+ head?
