Fabspeed EVERYTHING?!
Anyone run the fabspeed center bypass AND fabspeed side muffler bypass?
IF so, send a video!
FYI, i only have the center bypass but was going to get the Fister Side Mufflers done.

I previously had the following setup:
Sharkwerks + Fister should sound very similar to the Fabspeed + Fister, though I haven’t heard the latter in person to compare. One big potential differentiator is the X merge on the Fabspeed vs cross pipe design on SW.
Here’s a clip I recorded recently:
I wanted bit more volume and flat 6 howl, so changed to the following setup:
Haven’t had a chance to record sound clip yet, will post when I do.
I’d say there’s definitely more low end tone below 3k rpm, some might say some drone but nothing discombobulating. I only drive the car on warm, dry weekend days. It absolutely rips above 4k rpm, much more mid tone, giving that GT3-like howl. Again, sound is super subjective, just my take.
- Stock headers
- Sharkwerks Center Muffler Bypass
- Fister Side Mufflers

- Stock Headers - may consider 200cell headers as final piece
- FVD Street Sport X pipe. This is basically side muffler delete with a pair of resonators

Sounds really good actually.
I was mistaken, I actually have the SW center muffler delete. I was thinking about doing the Fister as well but was not sure if I'd be happy with the loudness of the sound.
So I was thinking of pairing the Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass with my SW Center bypass. Which will technically make it a straight pipe.
I wonder how loud this will be?

Thanks! I just looked up the Fabspeed Side Muffler Bypass Pipes, which currently retail for 835.95. Yikes. Might be worth looking into what your local muffler shop would offer / custom fabricate.
Without the resonators, I suspect there will be some rasp and low-end frequencies given resonators are designed to filter out both. How much of either there will be, I can't really say.

fister side mufflers may be the way to go.

I rock the sharkwerks center with fisters. It’s glorious. Here’s a video from another member with a center bypass and a gundo mod. Basically sounds the same.

Fabspeed CF J-Pipe intake, Fabspeed Valved mufflers, Fabspeed equal length long tube headers, Fabspeed 200 cell X-cats, but as I mentioned, my car is a .1 so the exhaust configuration is different - no center muffler location at all.
Fabspeed J-Pipe Intake (works better on my car than the Y-pipe version currently offered)

Nice setup!! Would love to do the same.
Little side-track question: I have a 2011 997.2, and like most people I do miss a good exhaust sound. Only have stock exhaust, no PSE on a Carrera 4.
But my biggest issue is the PAW (Porsche Approved Warranty), i pay around 1800 USD each year to have this active - and from what I understand I cant even change the windshield wipers to an off-brand.
Anyone got some experience with having PAW and modding the exhaust?
In Norway, having PAW on a 997 is like the holy grail, you wonna keep that as long as you can - no matter what. For re-sale value.
