Default Would you replace this coil pack?

Car has been dead reliable, has 95k on it, I wonder if this crack is a normal thing and 'they all do that' OR if this is an early sign of them letting go and getting water etc in. 2005 997.1S 95kmiles

I’m no expert on coil failures, but I’d 100% replace that one, and then do the rest for good measure. They’re relatively inexpensive, and it’s enough of a pain to get to them that I wouldn’t want to do them one at a time as they fail. A few of mine had fine cracks starting, so I just replaced them all while doing some other work.

It’s like $300 for 6 coil packs. Replace all of them while you are in there.

Replace and get the Beru ones from FCP Euro as they give you a lifetime warranty on all of their parts - they sell a kit with the plugs and coils.

I can't believe no one has responded that this pack is fine

Seriously, as some others have suggested, the tough part is getting to the packs.
I'd want to save duplicating labor and just change them all. Hopefully your
car is in a spot where it can lay disassembled until the replacement packs show up.

Good luck,
Bill
