FOUND MY FIRST PORSCHE
I have been in the market for about 2 years for a 997.2 with PDK. I just found vin # WPOCB29909S755736 at an Audi/ Volkswagen dealer. I was going to go inspect and test drive the car tomorrow however I was advised they were waiting on a " coolant pump" before the car would be drivable sometime next week when the Porsche part came in. The car is a cabriolet 2009 S model , it has 52k miles and asking is 58k.
I will be getting a PPI done but not sure who to ask in the central Florida near Tampa / Port Ritchie area any ideas? I was told the vehicle has had no accidents but has had 5 owners. If I make an offer and buy the vehicle how do I go about getting a Porsche cpo after buying and is that even possible. The car has chrono by the way. Thoughts suggestions please .

Make sure you the CARFAX & get full PPI. DO they have service records/history on the car?
Find out why the coolant pump needed to be replaced. Hopefully a leak and not a failure leading to overheating.

Yes, that is the car I was wondering the same about the water pump issue. The salesperson was very young and enthusiastic sent be about 30 photos and one video. I will certainly get the carfax. Thanks for the feedback. HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you.

WOuld be nice to get some service history. Also maybe find out if it is an Auction car. Maybe it's a trade-in but never know.
Carfax will give you some service history but always nice to have original records.
Happy Holidays and enjoy the purchase process!
Get back to the Forum on what you find out.

The 3rd character in the VIN is a Zero - not O.

The carfax is available on the web site. I saw no signs of an accident or auction on it.
It has spent quite a bit of time in FL, but also IN and MI.

I attached the information found pertaining to repairs done. The macpherson struts are not a problem however the items below the struts are of interest. I tried searching for the codes mentioned but found nothing as I was trying to get a better explanation.

Those mileage numbers on the screenshot report from 12/30/13 are are almost 7000 miles more than the current mileage shown on the selling dealer’s web page. Are you certain the report is for the same car?

Not to further rain on your parade but note that car was last registered to an owner in Boca Grande, parts of which were under water from Hurricane Ian in September. Hopefully you can confirm if it was off the island when Ian struck.

The screenshot of the repairs and recall was obtained from VINCODERZ after inserting the vin # it showed the items other than the macpherson recall under the heading: problems and issues for the vin pattern, I am now assuming that is exactly what it meant and not for this car.

Have the Dealer provide you with the Carfax and the service history.
Florida cars can be heavily oxidized. Gets to brakes and suspension and gets ugly..Personally I would only consider Florida cars that have been 100% garaged
Nothing like a nice clean Califoria/Arizona example.
Of course all subjective related to history and care.

If I ever were to sell this car I would invite the buyer to take it wherever he/she wanted to for a PPI without hesitation. As clean as they come having spent 50K miles in Florida, always in a garage and washed and cared for regularly.
