Will try to remember as I did this mod almost 11 years ago... will take a video to show it can be done..

 

OK... a few hitches to the video... first was to big, so I shortened from 15secs to 10 seconds then now our forum does not take mp4s... any ideas how to upload the file?

 

To describe how it works, it essentially is like a drl but on the 2 sides... once you start the engine the side markers light up... and it's always lit. But when you use the signals it still blinks... I used high quality amber led bulbs which do not throw error even without resistors.. my phone records mp4 videos so hopefully someone can tell me how to upload the video for everyone's appreciation that it can be done with programming... although as a caveat, I used the piwis and not durametric

Did you add additional wire to make that work like DRL? I know from Durametric, you cannot set both feature (blinking and sidemaker) simultaneously on.

 

Doing 0n .1 or .2? Thought possible .1 but not .2

 

2010 C2S... did not add anything, just program.. the car was so new then I still did not have the strength to play with wiring... I did it when I programmed the auto windows too... opening and closing with the key fob... I remember the only thing I could not do was make the sunroof open and close with the windows... and as said before, all done with piwis

 

Ok, that makes sense. I have a .1, sidemarker and blinker cannot be active simultaneously. I also did the keyfob open/close windows, couldn’t do the sunroof. With a PIWIS 3, I can program a 971 panamera to remote open/close the windows and sunroof.
